Golden State traded up from the 59th pick to add Richard, who just won a national championship at Florida. He is a win-now prospect that should provide three-and-D value off the bench if he’s able to crack the rotation. He doesn’t do much creating, but he should be ready to fill a role for a Warriors team that will be trying to win a championship. Richard averaged 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.7 steals and 2.0 three-pointers per game last season.

The 6’8, 223 pound Toohey played for the Sydney Kings last season where he won the NBL Next Generation award behind averages of 10.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks across 23 minutes per game. His 45/31/73 shooting splits offer signs of encouragement and a hope that he can develop a more consistent scoring repertoire. He’s not elite in any one skill, but he’s solid as a scorer, rebounder, facilitator and defender. It’s unclear if he’ll be able to carve out a role in Golden State, but he’ll be a decent depth piece.

Golden State made this pick, but it’s headed to Phoenix as part of a trade reported earlier Thursday. Brea played four years at Dayton before joining Kentucky for his fifth and final collegiate season. The 6'6, 202-pound wing finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 11.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.6 triples. He shot 43.5% from beyond the arc last season and a blistering 49.5 percent from downtown the season prior. Brea has obvious potential as a three-point specialist in the NBA, though it’s unknown if he can impact other areas of the game. Heading to Phoenix, he can provide high-level catch-and-shoot ability for a team that must account for Kevin Durant’s departure via trade. However, he’s joining a team that is loaded with wings, which may complicate things regarding Brea’s ability to crack the rotation as a rookie.

Phoenix now holds picks 36 and 41, so they should be able to add some talent quickly. They addressed the center spot in the first round by drafting Khaman Maluach and trading for Mark Williams. They also have plenty of options on the wing with Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Bradley Beal, Dillon Brooks and Ryan Dunn. They can always use more defense, and they do need to figure out the point guard position. Kam Jones, Tyrese Proctor, Adou Thiero and Alijah Martin would all be intriguing options for the Suns with their two second-round picks.

A few weeks removed from undergoing surgery on his left (shooting) wrist, Podziemski underwent a separate procedure on Tuesday. According to the Warriors, the procedure to repair the core muscle injury was successful. Podziemski is expected to be fully recovered in time for the start of training camp in late September. As long as there aren’t any setbacks, Podziemski will be a player worth selecting in fantasy drafts.

Podziemski underwent a successful left wrist debridement procedure on his left wrist on Wednesday. According to the Warriors, the 2023 first-round pick is expected to be healthy in time for the start of training camp in the fall. After finishing fifth in Rookie of the Year voting in 2023-24, Podziemski’s averages improved in points, steals and three-pointers this season. While he may not be an offensive focal point for the Warriors next season, Podziemski’s status as a starter will make him a worthwhile selection in fantasy drafts.

Moody, who sometimes played with his right hand wrapped late in the season, was dealing with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb. According to the Warriors, Wednesday’s procedure was successful, and Moody is expected to be a full go when training camp begins in September. While he has not been a consistently impactful fantasy option, the Warriors guard appeared in 74 games this season and established career-best averages in points, assists, steals and three-pointers. Moody won’t be a must-draft player in standard leagues, but he’ll be worth a look in deeper formats.

This wasn’t a great series for Podziemski, but he ended it on a high note. He set a new playoff career high for points and still contributed value in other categories across the board. Podz has solidified his spot in the starting lineup with the way the roster is currently constructed. He should be an enticing pick in fantasy drafts next season, especially if the Warriors lean on him for more production to keep Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green fresh for the postseason.

For a player that was out of the rotation at times during this postseason, Kuminga may have earned himself a nice payday in the final four games of this series. Head coach Steve Kerr needed offense with Stephen Curry (hamstring) sidelined, and Kuminga was able to fill the void. He averaged 24.3 points on 55.4 percent shooting in Games 2-5. Kuminga is set to be a restricted free agent, and even if it isn’t the Warriors handing him a big contract, the 22-year-old should be able to find a team to pay him.
